Steve joined the team in 2022, bringing broad, multi-industry leadership experience to ADG. He has over thirty years of operational and financial leadership experience in distribution, services, fabrication, and manufacturing industries earned while serving in executive leadership roles at Distribution International (“DI”), HD Supply, Arrow Electronics and GE. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer and member of the DI Board of Directors, having held those positions since June 2017. Steve has a bachelor’s degree from State University of New York at Albany and has attended business leadership programs at Harvard Business School and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Doug leads all operations of ADG’s 23 divisions and provides senior leadership for the most significant initiatives to achieve our top priorities. Joining as vice president of sales in 2018, then becoming chief commercial officer, and in this role, he successfully implemented sales strategies leveraging ADG’s national relationships – resulting in meaningful contributions to ADG’s growth and profitability. Prior to ADG, Doug spent 15 years at Mohawk Industries in several senior leadership positions. Doug received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, where he also lettered on the Bulldog’s football team.
Dan is responsible for all financial activities for the company, including accounting, treasury, financial planning and analysis, and mergers & acquisitions. He has nearly three decades of finance experience including over 20 years with private equity backed companies in the distribution, manufacturing, consumer goods and home industries with a wide range of companies including The Home Décor Companies, Signature Systems Group, Alpha Shirt Company and its successor Broder Bros. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from State University of New York at Geneseo, a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from Rutgers University and earned Certified Management Accountant “CMA” designation.
Darla joined the ADG team in 2022, bringing a wealth of leadership experience the result of her tenure as CIO at 3 different companies – 2 in the Fortune 500. Her expertise reaches into all areas of enterprise technology, including cybersecurity, IT infrastructure and networks, help desk support, application development, and leveraging new technologies as they emerge. This provides her with the skill and experience to provide a single world-class computer system able to support all ADG divisions as well as for future acquisitions. Darla earned a BS in information science from Christopher Newport University and an MBA from Long Island University.
Michelle joined ADG in 2022 to lead the human resources team and focus on attracting new talent and developing and retaining existing talent – keys to ADG’s reputation as an employer of choice. Training, career development, and creating a culture of learning are hallmarks of Michelle’s past successes and her top priorities at ADG. Previously, Michelle led the full range of HR functions in large, complex companies, including BrandSafway, Keurig Dr. Pepper, and HD Supply. Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Florida International University, a master’s degree in behavioral sciences from California State and a PhD in industrial and organizational psychology from Walden University.
Jim joined ADG in 2022 bringing a 30-plus year track record of success leading strategic planning and marketing in 3 publicly traded companies. As an entrepreneur, he twice built and sold companies, before going on to leadership positions in the acquiring company. His contributions are key to ADG’s increased focus on organic growth initiatives to supplement our historical growth via acquisition. Jim will ensure strategic initiatives have sound execution plans (and measurements) to drive organic growth. He studied economics at American University and attended finance and strategy leadership programs at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
Sharla joined ADG in 2022 after over twenty years of legal experience in multiple industries, as the company’s first in-house legal counsel. Previously she served in general counsel roles for companies including Distribution International, HD Supply, The Home Depot, and Sharyland Utilities. She earned a BS in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech and a Juris Doctor from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University.
Chamila leads a number of ADG’s corporate initiatives – chief among them the execution of mergers and acquisitions – a key pillar of ADG’s growth story. He joined ADG after 10 years in investment banking experience with Baird, PwC, and J.P. Morgan. He executed over $25B of M&A transactions and over $30B of equity and debt capital raising transactions for both private equity backed, and public companies. Prior to his career in Investment Banking, Chamila spent eight years with Maxim Integrated Products focused on semiconductor design and development. Chamila earned his MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and holds a BSEE Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
As the leader of our Project Management Office (PMO), Denise works in close collaboration with ADG’s executives and multiple project teams. Her role includes project selection and priority-setting direction for the PMO to drive measurable results and lasting value from company-wide initiatives as well as the integration of new acquisitions. Denise has over 10 years of experience in strategy, operations, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to ADG, Denise was a manager in Deloitte Consulting’s M&A service line, leading project teams on “Day 1 Readiness Planning and Execution” and post-merger integrations. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of the Philippines and her MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
Our Senior Regional Vice Presidents have over 120 years of combined experience in the interior finishing industry. They have P&L responsibility and work closely with division leadership to achieve strategic and financial objectives.
